Education and Early ASL Tutoring Experience
Jessica Darvishi embarked on her journey in the field of Deaf education with a Bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, where she majored in Deaf Education. Her passion for sign language education continued to flourish as she pursued a Master's degree in Sign Language Education at Gallaudet University, a renowned institution dedicated to serving Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. During her undergraduate years, Jessica served as an ASL tutor, providing valuable support to her peers and igniting her passion for teaching and empowering others through sign language.
Texas Certifications and Teaching Experience
Armed with her qualifications and a deep-seated commitment to the field, Jessica began her professional journey as a Deaf educator in Texas. Over the course of 11 years, she honed her skills and expertise, leaving an indelible mark on the students she served. During this time, Jessica also transitioned into the role of an ASL teacher for a public high school, where she played a crucial role in fostering ASL proficiency and promoting Deaf culture awareness among her students.
California Certifications and Current Teaching Role
